Insomniac and Interscope Geffen A&M Announce Launch of Insomniac Records

Insomniac CEO and founder Pasquale Rotella announced today a new partnership with Interscope Geffen A&M to create Insomniac Records.

Pairing two of the top companies in their respective fields, Insomniac Records looks to combine the music business knowledge of Interscope with the over 20 years of expertise Insomniac has producing some of the largest dance music events in the world.

“Interscope and Insomniac formed Insomniac Records because we saw the need for a label that fosters the unique talents of dance music artists while also giving them a powerful platform to share their music with fans around the world,” said Pasquale Rotella, founder and CEO of Insomniac. “The Interscope team has an unparalleled track record of success and I believe that with our combined efforts, Insomniac Records is going to launch the careers of undiscovered artists while also attracting established producers allowing them to create music that the fans will love.”

The first official EDM Label at Interscope, Insomniac Records will be home to many of the future EDM acts at Interscope. Producer/DJ “Arty” will be the first artist signed to the new label, and promises a full-length album coming later this year. He posted a teaser of his forthcoming single, “Up All Night” featuring Angel Taylor, on his SoundCloud today. The Russian born producer and DJ released his first production at the age of 19 years old and has since collaborated with many of the top DJ’s around the world. Arty has been a longtime supporter and performer at Insomniac events including the premier Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas.

More than 1 million fans attended Insomniac’s events in 2013 alone, including club shows, concerts and large-scale music festivals like the largest electronic music festival in the world, the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in Las Vegas which hosted more than 345,000 fans over 3-days last year, In addition to EDC Las Vegas the company creates dozens of music festivals and experiences annually, including Nocturnal Wonderland, Escape from Wonderland, and the all-white New Years Eve festival, White Wonderland.
