Rave Ban Study Approved by LA County Supervisors

EDM Maniac has some breaking news to report on the possible ban on raves and festivals at LA County owned venues.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to study a ban after two teens died over the weekend at the LA County Fairgrounds in Pomona. That is where Hard Summer was held. The two teens were taken to hospitals where they died. No word on if drugs were involved as toxicology tests take weeks to complete.

In two weeks we will know more about the proposed plan which involves new steps to improve health and safety issues for attendees.

Supervisor Hilda Solis is the one spearheading the ban. She says more measures need to be created for a safe environment for everyone and zero tolerance for illicit drugs.

Again, no decision has been made just yet on banning raves and festivals at venues owned by Los Angeles County. But, Supervisors have decided to call for a study on a ban, which is the first step in it actually happening. We will keep you up to date with the latest developments on EDM Maniac!
