Hotel / Travel Packs

CRSSD has teamed up with Unity Travel to provide affordable hotel packages during CRSSD weekend. For those of you seeking fancier hotel stays, they’ve got you covered as well. Check out all of the packages HERE.

Express Entry Pass

Because no one likes waiting in long lines. The express entry pass allows you to bypass the standard line to get in and go straight to the main entrance of the fest allowing you to effortlessly walk in. At $25 for BOTH days of the fest it is a total steal! Get your express pass HERE.

Lockers

Sometimes it’s hard not to bring a handful of essentials that could also be a pain to carry around. CRSSD has got you covered with Lockers throughout the festival for your convenience. Secure your lockers HERE before they run out. The lockers tend to sell out quickly so get yours while you still can.

Parking / Driving to CRSSD

I would recommend either taking an Uber or walking to the fest if your hotel is close enough. The weather during the day is spectacular and makes for a fun part of the CRSSD experience. If you ultimately must drive – CRSSD has teamed up with Parking Panda to allow you to purchase parking spaces nearby the venue. Check out the lots and their availability in real-time HERE.

No smoking allowed

Due to unfortunate circumstances and issues that arose after the first edition of CRSSD, smoking is no longer allowed inside of the venue. No exceptions so leave your cigarettes, e-cigs, vapes, and just about anything you can use to blow clouds from at home.

Don’t dress for the rave

You cannot walk in half naked with pasties on. You will be turned away and maybe even cited for indecent exposure. This is not the place for it and it will not be tolerated.

PRO-TIPS

Back up your phone

I’m not talking about iCloud here. Save a picture of a note with an emergency phone number written on it and set it as your lock screen picture. Assuming your phone is locked (as it should be!) – this will allow whoever finds it to help get it back in your pocket where it belongs were it to get lost.

Come prepared for the drinks

From craft beer to custom cocktails, the fest is truly a beverage connoisseur. You name it they’ve got it. All kinds of craft beer on hand for you beer enthusiasts with a wide variety of signature cocktails are available throughout the fest. For the Spring edition in March I discovered their signature “CRSSD Mule” (Moscow Mule) and I was addicted for the entirety of the weekend.

Time stamp text messages

Service is fairly reasonable at CRSSD Fest but you never know what your friends phone may be up to! Simply write in the time you are pressing send at the end of every text that goes out to spare from any confusion. It’s a lifesaver when you’re having difficulty reaching friends and a set you absolutely must catch is coming up.

Wear comfortable shoes

Much likely a Jeep, you will be walking on all kinds of terrain. You will be walking on grass, dirt, and cement all around. 10+ hours of festivaling will really take its toll on you if you are not prepped with good footwear.

Bring cash

You can pay at some if not most booths with your card but were you to need cash you will have to use the ATM’s on the premises and pay a few bucks just to access your money. Wouldn’t you rather spend it on food or drinks?

Essentials

– CRSSD offers free water stations so spare yourself from the expensive water bottles that give you a few gulps and bring a reusable bottle that you can use all weekend long.

–  Sunscreen is a given unless you like premature aging and walking around with tan lines.

– The service could get a bit iffy at some point which severely drains your phone’s battery because it is doing double the work to acquire signal. Bring a portable charger or two. If that is not an option there will be charging stations present at the fest but be warned that it will be PACKED anytime more than 2-3 hours in.

– You are close to the beach and unless you are used to chilly weather, I would recommend bringing a light sweater for when the sun goes down.

CRSSD Fest is a 21+ event so make sure you have your D. or passport ready. There’s nothing worse than showing up to a festival only to realize you or a friend can’t get in because you don’t have legal identification.

As always, just come prepared to have a great time. There’s something about being at a festival that is ridiculously close to the beach that really gets you going. The scenic view that San Diego has to offer is breath taking and in combination with CRSSD and Waterfront Park it is safe to say that you are guaranteed a magical time from beginning to end. Make sure to grab your tickets while they’re still hot and before the fest is fully sold out! Both 2 day and Saturday tickets are on their final run. Grab your tickets at Crssdfest.com today.
