1788-L Confirms His New Album ‘ALPHA+’ Will Come Out This Summer

Elusive midtempo producer 1788-L continues to stir up hype for his return to the forefront of the scene; this time announcing that his new album, ALPHA+, will come out this summer.

The previously masked 1788-L finally revealed his face to the public last week as part of a total brand revamp that saw him completely wipe his Instagram before posting a cryptic video with information about the new album.

The post was accompanied by a simple message reading “ALPHA+ SUMMER 2023,” and while details are still speculatory, we do know that the album will be published on deadmau5’s mau5trap label.

The album is set to be 1788-L’s first original release since 2022’s fast-paced D&B single “Bassline Test.” The teaser video appears to feature short clips of new music from the upcoming album.

In the five years since he burst onto the scene, 1788-L has received positive exposure for a number of high-profile collaborations with Blanke, Rezz, Deathpact, and ILLENIUM, as well as a remix for Alison Wonderland.

This latest update follows 1788-L’s March Twitter announcement that the album is complete, leaving fans clamoring for more details and hoping for an impending tour.

Check out the album teaser video below.
