5 Reasons To Attend CRSSD Festival

Festival season is here! First up we have CRSSD Festival this weekend, March 3 and 4 at the Waterfront Park in San Diego. If you are not familiar with CRSSD, it has a heavy emphasis on house and techno artists. This year you can expect Empire Of The Sun, Tchami, Cirez D, Malaa, Shiba San and many more.

I attended CRSSD last Spring and I am looking forward to attending this festival again!

Here are 5 reasons you should attend CRSSD this weekend:

The Venue

What really makes this 21+ festival unique is it’s location, held in the beautiful Waterfront Park right on the Embarcadero right outside Downtown San Diego. The festival has 3 stages, Ocean View, City Steps, and The Palms which are evenly spread out at the venue. You can expect to catch the beautiful San Diego sunset on both days of the festival. My favorite part of this venue is that it has fountains that you are able to dance in while listening to the music from the nearby stages. There is plenty of space to dance and chill across the entire venue.

The People

The best part about the festival (for those who are over 21) is that it is 21 and over. They have done this since CRSSD started back in 2015 and have kept it 21 and over ever since. Keeping the festival 21 and over is one of the reasons CRSSD has been successful over the years. The crowd is more respectful and responsible and everyone has the best vibes.

The Festival Vibes

Along with the event being 21+, the festival vibes because of this fact comes with it. The people attending CRSSD know this event is a festival and not a rave. At CRSSD, you don’t see crazy and over the top outfits like you do at a rave. CRSSD makes it a point that it is festival and encourages people to dress casual. Also, LED hoops, totems, LED gloves and flowlights are strictly prohibited. This creates for an epic festival vibe by creating a unique and casual atmosphere.

The Food/Beer Lineup

The selection of food and beer at CRSSD is amazing. From craft beer to the pizza there is something for everyone. They recently announced that ENTER.sake will be serving a chilled craft sake selection all weekend at the ENTER.sake bar! ENTER.Sake is boutique Sake collection curated by Richie Hawtin during his extensive trips to breweries throughout Japan.

The Music

Whether you are a house and techno head or not I highly recommend checking out CRSSD Festival. The house and techno music lineup for this year is awesome. If you are not familiar with most artists, come out to the festival and listen to new music and discover new artists! The vibes and energy at CRSSD are amazing. Hope to see you there!
