If you haven’t heard by now, Above & Beyond is bringing their renowned Anjunabeach party to Southern California next weekend! On the shores of Huntington Beach on Saturday, June 23, Above & Beyond will be takeover this massive beach from 12pm to 9pm. This event is a dream come true for fans of Above & Beyond and Anjuna artists where they can catch them in a unique setting.
For those who are attending know it will be some serious fun but if you aren’t yet and need some convincing, here are 5 reasons you should go to Anjunabeach next weekend.
The Beach
Let’s talk about the most obvious reason why you should attend Anjunabeach, it’s a party on the beach! I can’t think of a better way to kick off the beginning of summer down here in Orange County, CA with a party on the beach and the sounds of Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep artists. This is the first time Anjunabeach is making its debut on the West Coast so this event will definitely go down in history and you don’t want to miss it! Not to mention, this will be the boys’ biggest California show to date.
The Music
I can’t imagine a better lineup for this event than the one that was announced. Special guests include Lane 8, Mat Zo, Luttrell, plus an Above & Beyond Yoga Set! These artists will be sure to bring their unique sounds to the beach that will make it the most perfect setting. Kicking off the party will be Above & Beyond’s Yoga Set followed by Luttrell, Lane 8, Mat Zo, and then closing out with Above & Beyond.
Above & Beyond Yoga Set
Above & Beyond first performed an impromptu yoga set at Burning Man’s infamous ‘Robot Heart’stage in 2014 – a magical moment which was shared by just a handful of music lovers on the playa. This prompted them to host another yoga session, at the beautiful Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State at ABGT 250. Thousands of fans attended the session and created such a positive response that they are continuing to do yoga sets when they can. In fact, just last week they did one at Steel Yard London. I personally attended the yoga set at ABGT 250 and it was definitely a memorable experience.
Elena Brower will be joining Above & Beyond to perform a very rare yoga set at the festival. You should try to arrive as early as possible to limber up and join the yoga session on the beach with tunes from Above & Beyond themselves.
Above & Beyond Sunset Set
After the yoga set you get to enjoy a few hours of other Anjuna artists, but the real magic happens when the sun starts to set during Above & Beyond. This magical moment is one that I’m most excited for as I dance the evening away with toes in sand listening to my favorite songs by Above & Beyond. Beach sunsets are already magical on their own but as I picture the sounds of Above & Beyond as the sun sets, I know for a fact it will be a special moment.
The Vibes
With the Anjunafamily in attendance, we know for a fact the vibes here will be perfect. If you’ve ever attended an Anjunabeats or Anjunadeep show you know how incredible the Anjunafamily vibe is. I will be in all the feels singing along with the Anjunafamily to our favorite songs and dancing the night away in the sand.
