Chicago’s new pop-art inspired immersive dance music experience, Heatwave Music Festival is taking over Douglass Park this weekend, July 16-17. Powered by Auris Presents, Chicago’s premier live event organizers have added another creative and larger-than-life addition to their festival roster.
Attendees will be treated to a music-meets-art landscape with installments and environments to explore. The lineup is stacked with several EDM genres represented from House to Trap and Dubstep. Here are five acts you can’t miss this weekend at Heatwave:
1. Rossy
Rossy is an awesome rising artist known for blending trap, future bass, and classical melodies to tell her story. Her latest single, “Heaven” was recently released on Zeds Dead’s iconic record label, Deadbeats. Rossy also threw down at Beyond Wonderland At The Gorge! Her sound is legendary and unique, and we’re very excited for her energy.
2. Sam Feldt B2B Jonas Blue (Endless Summer)
Sam Feldt and Jonas Blue are both incredibly talented producers who will be joining together this weekend for their very first B2B sets. Both artists are known for their top-selling records and refreshing melodies.
Feldt is easily recognizable for producing hits like “Post Malone” in 2019 and his many remixes. Jonas Blue is an English songwriter, producer, DJ, and remixer based in London. The duo recently released their first collab, “Till The End” with Sam Derosa and created their own Instagram page so we expect more coming from them.

3. Rome in Silver
Rome in Silver is a lifelong Californian and bass-forward musician who doesn’t like to put a label on his sound. His dance-y and summery vibes resonate with anyone who likes to let go and enjoy unique sounds and catchy melodies. His monthly listeners have risen exponentially in the past year alone, and some key releases include Like Lightening EP on San Holo’s label and Forever Flame EP on Monstercat.
4. Canabliss
Canabliss is a dubstep/bass artist from Canada who has had an incredibly successful debut. She’s been seen on big festival lineups this year from Liquid Stranger’s WAKAAN Festival, HARD Summer in Southern California, and Rezz Rocks to name a few. Any bass music fan should definitely check her out and prepare to take their ears on a journey.
5. Galantis
One of the bigger names on the lineup, Galantis is a dance music powerhouse and a must-see for anyone who loves EDM. The Swedish duo has gained much traction over the years, gaining international popularity after their single “Runaway (U & I)” which debuted in 2014.
Since then, they’ve released several albums and hit singles with other big names like “Heartbreak Anthem” with David Guetta and Little Mix. Their live sets are known for their good vibes and classic tunes.
