Ticketmaster refunds will soon be on their way.
As we are all slowly accepting that our favorite shows and events probably won’t be happening until next year, many are left waiting for those much-needed refunds. Not too long ago, Ticketmaster faced enormous backlash for not immediately offering refunds for all of their canceled and postponed events. Well, it looks like they’ve made some changes and are finishing up a plan where they will be offering refunds to all of their postponed shows. They have 55,000 events which add up to about $2 billion in ticket sales for all of 2020.
Starting May 1, concert-goers will begin to receive emails with the option of a refund. If they don’t redeem the refund within 30 days, their ticket will still be good for the rescheduled show. If this doesn’t sound good, Live Nation will also be offering credit for canceled and postponed shows through the Rock When You Are Ready program.
“For canceled shows fans can choose to receive up to 150% of their ticket value as Concert Cash, and for rescheduled shows, they will receive Concert Cash once they attend the new date,” a statement from Live Nation reads. “Those looking for ways to give back can opt to donate their tickets to health care workers through Live Nation’s expanded Hero Nation program. And anyone who needs or wants their money back will have the option to get a full refund within 30 days once a show has been canceled or new dates have been finalized.”

According to Ticketmaster, all shows taking place through July will be covered but dates for August will be discussed at a later date.
