T’Challa King is a multi-faced producer hailing from Southern California. Last year, he produced an entire album from his garage utilizing his array of instrumental talents to incorporate drums, guitar, and piano into his first album King. Now he is back with a follow-up single titled “King of the World” in honor of the late Chadwick Boseman. As a fan of the hit Marvel movie Black Panther, T’Challa King was given his name from a pastor and has loved creating music for the past 11 years.
Back in August of this year, Chadwick passed away at the young age of forty-three after succumbing to his secret battle with color cancer. Both the character he played and the human he was in real life were respected by many for his genuinely kind heart. A track created by someone inspired by Chadwick and Black Panther is incredibly fitting and beautiful, which is the reason this track “King of the World” is moving for both the creator T’Challa King and all that listen.
The approximately ten-minute single draws on several influences that cumulate into an epic dance track, at one point layering the iconic line from the movie Black Panther: “Wakanda Forever.” The overall vibe is uplifting yet ethereal, with an an encompassing bass line of drums and guitar with house mix elements that bring the track to life. Within seconds, the track will have you off the couch ready to dance. The pureness within the track and the musical flow makes it easy to get easily lost in the moment.
