Earlier this week, Anna Lunoe hosted Porter Robinson on Episode 59 of danceXL, Lunoe’s Apple Music radio show. On her show, Porter discussed his latest release, creativity, and the personal journey behind his upcoming album, ‘Nurture,’ which will drop on April 23. Porter Robinson’s latest release, ‘Look At The Sky,’ premiered last Wednesday (January 27), and focuses on positivity and mindfulness. By looking at the lyrics and listening to Anna Lunoe’s radio show with Porter on Apple Music, we can tell that Porter had been going through some mental health struggles throughout the process of making his latest album.
Porter Robinson’s album has been in the works for a while now, and we are getting a glimpse of what it took to make it and what the mental process was like. Throughout the interview, you can listen to Porter talk about how he addressed certain issues involving creativity, lack of drive, and how he went about dealing with adversity and the effects it had on him. Without spoiling too much, the interview certainly gives an inside light on what was going on in Porter’s head throughout the time Nurture was being worked on.
