Deadmau5 Launches New House Music Label

Deadmau5 has announced that he is starting a brand new house label called, ‘hau5trap.’

Despite already creating an extremely successful label in ‘mau5trap’ back in 2007, deamau5 is expanding his diversity by starting a brand new house label. Deadmau5 announced the start of ‘hau5trap’ on his Twitter account which was received extremely well by fans. ‘Hau5trap’ will focus on house music and will include artists from the global dance scene whose sounds were not entirely meant made for ‘mau5trap‘.

Deadmau5’s primary label, ‘mau5trap‘, paved the way for a myriad of stars including Skrillex, Feed Me, i_o, and Rezz, amongst others. All of these artists have left an incredible impact on both the music industry and their fans. Needless to say, deadmau5 has provided a platform through his record labels that give young and rising artists a platform to showcase their musical talents. Deadmau5 is looking to repeat the success of his previous label but in a different genre with, ‘hau5trap.’

The first release from ‘hau5trap’ will be a brand new Tommy Trash single called, ‘Hiiigh’ with vocalist Daisy Guttridge. The collaboration will mark a reunion between Tommy Trash and Daisy Guttridge who previously collaborated on ‘Oxygen’ with i_o. The new single will be available to download and stream starting March 2 with other singles to be released in the following weeks.
