Just before midnight last night, CEO of Insomniac Pasquale Rotella shared on Facebook what many fans have been anxiously waiting for — the lineup for the first-ever Nocturnal Wonderland at the San Manuel Amphitheater next month on September 21st. The reaction on Facebook was a mixed bag. While some fans were looking for big name headliners, others were impressed by the diversity of the lineup, and we were too.
Sure, many of the big name “Insomniac” normal heavy hitters were missing this go around, but that is a plus in our book. We’ve always liked the feeling of going to an event not knowing how the night will turn out, it keeps the butterfly’s fluttering in our stomachs. Going to events with the DJ’s you know and love is always fun, but you know how the night and sets will be laid out for the most part. Especially if you’re an EDM Maniac.
In this years case, there are so many diverse artists on the lineup you can’t help but get excited. We would implore people to try entering the venue with an open mind, and you might just leave with a new respect and understanding of a new genre or DJ that you haven’t seen before. Open mind’s and good vibes are what makes this scene what it is.
We’re excited to journey down the rabbit hole again this September with Insomniac, and are excited to see some respectable house DJs on the lineup, including the Martinez Brothers! Most importantly, we’re excited about THE EXPERIENCE. Insomniac is well known for their over-the-top production and spectacles when it comes to these events, and we are also super excited to see what the results of the LiveNation and Insomniac “Collaborative partnership.” Additionally, Insomniac is offering camping from Friday- Sunday on the grounds of the event for the first time. This will be an added bonus for festival attendees and hopefully will ease some of the traffic concerns attendees had when Insomniac premiered “Beyond Wonderland” at this new venue in San Bernardino this past March.
So, are you in? Journey down the rabbit hole with us and Insomniac this September at Nocturnal Wonderland. You might be pleasantly surprised.
