Ja Rule Has Sold A Fyre Festival NFT For $122,000

Fyre Festival Co-Founder Ja Rule, has sold a Fyre Festival NFT for $122,000.

One of the Co-Founders of the infamous Fyre Festival, Ja Rule, was able to sell a one-of-one oil painting of the Fyre Festivals logo for $122,000 through an NFT. Ja Rule was one of the initial co-founders alongside fraudster Billy McFarland and in an interview with TMZ, Ja Rule claims that selling this one-of-one oil painting is helping him move on from Fyre Festival entirely.

“I had embarked on a new business. But then it became a symbol of what could have been. For me, it’s done and over with.”

The oil painting is massive, standing 48 inches by 60 inches, and was initially created by Tripp Derek Barnes before he sold it to an unnamed buyer. Selling the painting as an NFT is part of Rule’s business strategy to launch NFT exchange company, Flipkick. Previous items from Fyre Festival have been sold to the public, including hats, t-shirts, and hoodies.

This is the first Fyre Festival NFT and most likely the last, however, we can’t be too sure as Fyre Festival is known for all sorts of surprises.
