Major U.S. concert venues will now be able to stream events to fans across the world
It appears that livestreaming is here to stay and will continue to be a part of the concert experience due to the world’s largest live entertainment company (Live Nation) and Veeps (a primary livestreaming concert platform) announcing that they will equip more than 60 major U.S.concert venues with turnkey livestreaming. By implementing turnkey livestreaming to major U.S. concert venues, artists will now have the opportunity to livestream their events to fans across the world.
Live Nation and Veeps have selected major U.S. venues that appear regularly on tour. The Filmore in San Francisco and Philadelphia, The House of Blues in Chicago and New Orleans, as well as The Wiltern in Los Angeles are just a few of the concert venues that will feature turnkey livestreaming opportunities. The Wiltern already has established its livestreaming dates. Joel Madden, Co-founder of Veeps, disclosed to Variety that,
“Now, with the flip of a switch, every artist playing in these venues can make their show a global event. We’ve already seen how livestream shows drive engagement across every other area of an artist’s business and the added ticket revenue will allow them to re-invest in their art and make what they’re offering their fans even better.”
Throughout the pandemic, livestreams have helped artists stay afloat financially and connect with fans online. With the implementation of turnkey livestreaming in major U.S. concert venues, artists will continue to be able to connect with fans and raise money for either themselves or an organization of their choice, or both.
