Spotify will kick off its virtual concert series with concerts from The Black Keys, Leon Bridges, and more

Spotify has announced that it will be experimenting with virtual concerts via 40-to-75 minute pre-recorded sets that can only be viewed at specific times and will not be reposted. The Swedish audio streaming service will begin its virtual concert series with five different performances from The Black Keys, Jack Antonoff of Bleachers, Rag’nBone Man, Leon Bridges, and girl in red.

Tickets for each virtual livestreamed event will cost $15 with a free Spotify account. Tickets will only be tied to individual accounts and will not be transferable to others. Refunds will not be given out to those who miss the show, regardless of the situation. Spotify says each artists’ recording will air at four different times to account for the world’s timezones, but again, will not give out refunds if the concert is missed.

The five scheduled concerts will air every Thursday starting with The Black Keys concert which will air next Thursday on May 27. All other virtual events will also be held on Thursday and will start depending on the time selected.
