Virtual reality is the next generation, and Sensorium is bringing dance music into that next generation. Soon the forward-thinking tech company will launch PRISM, the first virtual world from the Sensorium Galaxy. It is within this virtual world users will be able to experience dance music performances from Charlotte De Witte.
De Witte is the most recent addition to what Sensorium Galaxy refers to as “the Chosen Ones.” “The Chosen Ones” are a series of top level DJs including Eric Prydz, Carl Cox, David Guetta, Black Coffee and others who will be performing inside PRISM as well.
“Whether DJing or producing, I am always searching for new ways to use my creativity and tap into deeper layers of emotion in electronic music,” de Witte said in a press release. “I want people to remember the experience after the lights go down. Working with Sensorium Galaxy is a great opportunity to deliver a completely new kind of show with the same passion I try to bring to all my IRL concerts.”
Sensorium will take virtual concerts further than Minecraft and Fortnite ever did, creating nearly identical avatars of the artists who are performing. Watch Carl Cox create his avatar here.
PRISM is set to launch later this year. Sign up to experience the beta version for free here, and check out the Charlotte De Witte announcement video for Sensorium Galaxy below.
