Today, the UK-based deep house star, Sonny Fodera, confirmed his next album. Entitled Wide Awake, the album will be out everywhere on October 22.
“Every single one of you that follows, listens and shows me love, you are my family,” Fodera said in a tweet announcing the album.
Along with the announcement comes the second single from the LP, “Angel” featuring Clementine Douglas. This new track follows the first single “Nah” which is a collaboration with the respected producer duo KOLIDESCOPES and the revered singer/songwriter Sinead Harnett on vocals.
Where “Nah” was the straightforward, burning hot piano house, “Angel” is more refined and jazzy. The track implements live horns for a fully authentic feel against a laidback bass line and wavy voice work. The diversity among these two tracks indicate a wide range of sounds on the full album with Fodera’s signature grooves as the common denominator.
