The Weeknd And Swedish House Mafia Are Collaborating!

Swedish House Mafia‘s (SHM) return is in full swing, and the latest piece of monumental news from their camp is a collaboration with international pop sensation, The Weeknd (real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye).

Tesfaye recently cited SHM as a major influence on his own upcoming album, which then sparked major rumors around a collaboration. To the delight of the fans, the rumors proved true once again, and both artists confirmed the news with an Instagram post. View the post from Tesfaye’s account below.

The post is a video which begins at the ending scene of the music video for SHM’s second single “Lifetime.” SHM member Sebastian Ingrosso reaches into a monolith of intertwined cables as the lyrics “like a moth to a flame” ring out in Tesfaye’s powerful voice.

As of now there is no official release date for the collaboration. Stay tuned to EDM Maniac for more updates.
