Goldenvoice, the creators of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival have created an “East Coast Coachella.”
“Panorama” celebrates music, art and technology. This will be the first year of the festival which is set for July 22-24 at Randall’s Island Park in New York City. Headliners include Arcade Fire, Kendrick Lamar, LCD Soundsystem, Major Lazor, FKA Twigs, Sia and many more. It’s basically like a mini-Coachella. Passes go on sale this Friday, March 4th at 12pm EST / 9am PST. 3-day general admission passes cost $369 and VIP will run you $769. Transportation and layaway options will be available.
Panorama is joining with The Verge, a leading technology and culture brand, to create an interactive, experiential installation called Future Lab. Future Lab will explore and highlight technology’s influence on the creation of music and integrate how music is experienced and shared with friends. Designed by renowned artists in collaboration with The Verge’s editors, Future Lab will showcase new technology in unconventional ways.
Panorama 2016 will include food options that will be curated by Eater, the trusted source for the best in dining and drinking, along with renowned Eater critic and New York City food expert Robert Sietsema. Together, they will highlight the rich culinary offerings of all five boroughs on site at the festival.
The festival takes its name from the Panorama of the City of New York, a nearly 10,000 square foot to scale model of the city located in the Queens Museum. Each ticket buyer to the event will receive a pass for free admission to the Queens Museum to view the Panorama exhibit as well as the rest of the museum. The Museum will be hosting a well-timed exhibit on The Ramones titled: “Hey! Ho! Let’s Go: Ramones and the Birth of Punk” which runs from April 10 through July 31.
