Fans of Kygo, real name Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, are very much aware of his talent as a pianist. His instrumental skills are inseparable from his more sophisticated and mature electronic sound, and his latest single, “Undeniable,” sees him flaunt those skills even further.
Over the last couple years, Gørvell-Dahll has been working to burnish his reputation as a producer who can collaborate with any vocalist. In 2020 he reworked music from two of the most renowned soul singers in history: Tina Turner and the late Donna Summer.
Now on “Undeniable,” Gørvell-Dahll proves he can harness the honest sounds of pop rock. The trio X Ambassadors are featured on this new single, and to align with their bellowing vocal style, Gørvell-Dahll holds back on the sound design and opts for the more organic sound of natural piano.
