Alison Wonderland, the Australian-born producer, DJ, and vocalist, has just shared her first single of 2021. Entitled “Fuck U Love U” this new track sees the multifaceted artist venture further into dark and dastardly sonic territory.
Where “Bad Things,” the previous solo single from Wonderland, real name Alexandra Margo Sholler, added some melody to her traditional heavy style, “Fuck U Love U,” is all force.
After a quick intro of call and response style vocals from Sholler, a thundering kick drum launches the low-end buzzsaw synths that define the entirety of the track. Like everyone else in the world, Sholler has been dealing with complex emotions over the last two years, and “Fuck U Love U,” is a raw expression of those emotions.
