The new Kx5 song “Escape”(feat. Hayla), helmed by dance music legends Kaskade and deadmau5, has captured the world’s heart since its release this year. Now the duo have enlisted talented newcomer John Summit to remix the track.
The new remix is pure danceable groove while still maintaining the song’s deep sound and encapsulating beat. Summit debuted the new remix this April at Coachella 2022 and stated in an interview with DJ Mag “As a DJ, there’s always the perfect track to play, and I hope to have a version of that for every moment.”
The Chicago native John Summit has had an impressive few years. He has amassed over five million monthly Spotify listeners, the top-selling artist across all genres on Beatport in 2021, and a #1 track on US Dance radio with his record “Human.”
Kaskade and deadmau5 are two of the top-selling EDM artists of the last two decades. Their 2008 collaboration “I Remember” has over 19 million streams on Spotify. They will soon play their first headlining show as Kx5 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
