Party Favor has just released his sophomore album Reset. The LP includes 14 tracks, each with a unique sound that will have listeners playing the collection on repeat.
Last week, Party Favor, real name Dylan Ragland, gave fans a glimpse into the album with the early release of “Hollow” featuring DeathbyRomy. The melodic hit includes catchy and emotional vocals and a cinematic buildup that set high standards for the release of Reset.
Ragland describes “Hollow” by saying, “To me, this song perfectly encapsulates the entire album. It’s haunting, it’s dark, it’s big, but there’s still an element of fun in it.”
Ragland explores several genres throughout Reset and shows how diverse he can be as a producer. “With Regards to Your Speakers” brings elements of future bass and vaporwave, while the track “Too Much” explodes with fast-paced techno beats.
In the track “Spirt Pt. 1”, Ragland uses melodic dream-like sounds that will hypnotize listeners, which he then contrasts with upbeats snares, and trap sounds in “Spirit Pt. 2”.
Ragland has over 30 performances scheduled across the next few months, giving fans multiple opportunities to get down to his groovy beats. A few of the stops on his tour include Electric Forest, Tomorrowland, HARD Summer, Electric Zoo, and Imagine Music Festival.
