Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter Adds A Ballet To His Discography

Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter just added a new piece to his discography, a French ballet entitled “Mythologies”. The Opera National de Bordeaux and choreographer Angelin Preljocaj tapped the electronic producer to compose the music for the contemporary ballet.

After 28 years together, the Daft Punk officially split last year, and this is Bangalter’s first project since.

Daft Punk was formed in Paris in 1993 by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homen-Christo. They have produced some of the most recognizable tracks in all of electronic music including “Get Lucky,” “One More Time,” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.” They also won six Grammys including one in 2009 for best dance/electronic album for Alive 2007 and one for best album of the year in 2014 for their final album, Random Access Memories.
