As a teaser for Carl Cox’s anticipated new album Electronic Generations, the legendary techno pioneer has released the Welcome To My World EP.
The four-track collection features previously unheard versions of singles off the album as well as one brand-new track. They are all driving and acidic with house-inspired beats to keep the groove going. With a raw and nostalgic production quality, the EP transports the listener to the peak 90s dance music era.
The full Electronic Generations album is out October 28, but the EP allows fans to hear the original tracks as Cox intended. Welcome To My World is a step out of his comfort zone and showcases the unwavering passion for the advancement of club culture.
Carl Cox was instrumental in both the dance music craze in London and bringing the sounds of Ibiza to the forefront. He played the opening night of Danny Rampling’s legendary Shoom nightclub and co-promoted The Project with Paul Oakenfold. He also had a 15- year residency at Space in Ibiza and continues to return to the party island every year for at least one performance.
