Insomniac Unveils Partnership With End Overdose For All Future Festivals

One of the biggest festival companies in the world, Insomniac Events, just unveiled a harm reduction partnership with End Overdose.

Pasquale Rotella, the founder of Insomniac Events, posted on social media that the drug epidemic and accidental overdoses from opioids and fentanyl are incredibly rampant at music events. In order to combat this, Insomniac Events will be partnering with the nonprofit End Overdose to have a presence at all future festivals.

The nonprofit reduces risk via education, providing supplies, and medical intervention.

End Overdose will make its first appearance at  Escape Halloween this weekend (October 28-29) and will be present at all future Insomniac festivals. On the ground at the festival, End Overdose will be giving out supplies and answering questions.

Alongside this news, Insomniac also reminded all attendees that Narcan, a life-saving medicine in the result of an opioid overdose, is always allowed at any Insomniac Event and can be received for little to no cost along with fentanyl test strips.

Many festivals have begun to partner with harm reduction companies due to the prevalence of accidental overdose at music events. Companies like Dance Safe have partnered with GRiZ’s The Harmony Project to provide free substance testing on-site in order to prevent the accidental consumption of dangerous or unintended substances.
