Blended Festival in Nashville was set to take place later this month but was canceled amid social media statements that claim CEO Sean Evans was unreachable and unresponsive.
In a social media post on November 2, 2022, Blended Festival stated that Sean Evans, the CEO of My Wine Society which is the parent company of Blended Festival Inc., had been unreachable since October 1 and had disabled staff accounts and emails.
According to the post, he was the sole owner of accounts related to the bank, payroll, and ticketing activity and no decisions were able to be made without him. Therefore, the Blended team is pursuing legal action for refunds and financial dues.
An email sent to staff from Evans stated that Blended Fest will be dissolving and ceasing business activity immediately while it searches for an acquirer. The email also requested that all staff not communicate with the media per their legal team. The social media was run by a third party, meaning the public could be made aware of what was happening behind the scenes.
The Nashville lineup for later this November listed high-profile headliners like Loud Luxury, The Chainsmokers, and Lil Jon with past artists including Deorro and Kaskade.
There were four Blended Festivals planned across the United States including Nashville, Tampa, Austin, and San Diego. Tickets had been sold to both the San Diego and Austin editions with the Austin festival “postponed” the week before the event was set to take place.
A Facebook comment from Blended Festival stated that a storm and massive evacuation in Nashville caused a ripple effect towards the Austin event, but there was no updated date as of two weeks ago.
The San Diego festival was also reportedly canceled as well, but Tampa was stated to be “moving forward as scheduled” before the social media statements this week.
