Known for getting hearts racing on the dancefloor, stalwart producer and DJ Eats Everything has turned to another adrenaline-pumping pasttime for inspiration: motorsport.
The 90’s UK rave legend has now partnered with Nissan’s Formula E Team on a new single inspired by the sounds of raceday.
The track “Feeel,”—an acronym for “Formula E Eats Everything London” —weaves Eats Everything’s expert production with sounds pulled directly from the Monaco E-Prix last May, including the Nissan Formula E Team garage, radios, and of course, race cars.
The partnership seeks to build anticipation for the 2023 London E-Prix on July 29-30—the Nissan team’s final race of the season.
In a promotional video for the breakbeat-forward track, Eats Everything said, “I believe the sound of Formula E is quite musical.”
“What inspired me for the track was the visuals, seeing the whole Nissan Formula E Team work together in the garage, hearing the communications through the radios and all the other steps in between made me want to create a track which felt like a constant build-up,” he added.
“One of the surprising things when people first experience Formula E, is how distinctive but still exciting the sound of the cars is,” said Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal for Nissan Formula E.
“It may be different from the typical noise that people have come to expect from more traditional motorsport series but, precisely for this reason, this characteristic sound makes it more unique and recognizable,” he said.
