Fred again.. Shares New Demos On Social Media; Asks Fans To Help Pick His Next Release

Building upon an already esteemed reputation for feel-good engagement on social media, showstopping producer Fred again.. is once again soliciting help from millions of fans in deciding his next release.

Today, Fred explained on Instagram and TikTok that he has three new tracks in the works, posting clips of each demo and asking fans to comment which one he should finish and release next.

All three demos feature Fred’s signature bouncing drumbeats and are tentatively titled “ten,” “adore u,” and “JohnMystery,” as seen in the screen recording from his phone.

Track two—as Fred has designated it in the post—has already received a great deal of hype, with the London-based superproducer playing it out at a number of high-profile tour stops this summer, including Glastonbury and Primavera Sound.

This isn’t the first time Fred again.. has asked for fan input on new releases. Last October, he asked fans to pick one of three demos to be released as a single ahead of his most recent solo album, Actual Life 3.

The eventual smash hit “Delilah (pull me out of this)” was the runaway winner, beating out “Clara (the night is dark)” and “Nathan (still breathing),” both of which went on to be featured on the album. “Clara” was also released as a single shortly after “Delilah.”

Whether or not the votes are actually tallied remains to be seen, but there is no denying that Fred’s survey method gets the people talking and brings his supporters closer for an intimate glimpse at his creative process.

Fred again.. has continued a rapid rise to critical and commercial success, announcing a sold-out fall tour earlier this week, with dates in London, Berlin, New York, and Los Angeles.

Listen to all three demos and join in the conversation below.
