CRi Cancels Performance At Above & Beyond Group Therapy Weekender For Son’s Birth

Above & Beyond have a bittersweet update on CRi’s performance for fans attending their Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge this weekend.

Anjunadeep regular and Quebec-born producer CRi was set to perform this weekend for the annual gathering alongside Anjuna favorites like Tinlicker, Simon Doty, Yotto, and Nourey.

But unfortunately, CRi will no longer perform, although it is for a happy reason: the upcoming birth of his baby boy.

CRi posted on his story, “It is with a heavy heart but a certain excitement that I have to announce that I need to cancel my performances at Seattle and at The Gorge this weekend. Following our most recent visit to the doctor, the chances of Sophie giving birth within the week are just too great and I am not ready to take the risk of missing the birth of my son. Although I’ve always prioritized music in my life, this time is an exception and I know it is the right decision.”

CRi announced in March he and Sophie Bérubé were pregnant and remarked that he would have a new album and baby at around the same time with his second album Miracles out September 22.

This weekend was supposed to finish up the last round of summer tour dates for the Canadian DJ, likely so he could spend some time with his newly expanded family.

But despite the new father being unable to attend The Gorge event, Anjunadeep will still celebrate his new album with a listening party and will host a baby shower.

Qrion will take CRi’s place on the main stage and you can check out the announcement of the replacement below:
