Two Los Angeles-bred emotional music organizations, Insomniac and Emo Nite, are coming together to celebrate emo, alternative, and dark music with their new partnership GRAVE RAVE.
GRAVE RAVE is an event series coming to LA with performances from both legendary and emerging bands and DJs that fuse electronic music and pop-punk sounds.
The first massive event will take place in December at The Torch at the LA Coliseum alongside a host of other punk/EDM parties.
And the sequence of events will kick off with a “Road to GRAVE RAVE” preview party on August 26 at Academy LA featuring a surprise lineup of DJs and producers that combine alternative influence with club-heavy, electronic, energy.
The two powerhouse promoters will also focus on music and apparel collaborations as Emo Nite joins the Insomniac Music Group family with the launch of its record label, Graveboy Records, and forthcoming singles from We The Kings, Say Anything, and Noelle Sucks.
The first collection of “Insomniac x Emo Nite” merch will be available at HARD Summer 2023.
Emo Nite was started by Morgan Freed and T.J. Petracca in December of 2014 as a small dive bar party before expanding into a recurring event series in over 30 cities worldwide.
In the past, they’ve hosted names like Machine Gun Kelly, Post Malone, Good Charlotte, Demi Lovato, and more.
The partnership idea sparked after Insomniac Founder and CEO, Pasquale Rotella, saw DJ Dillon Francis wearing Emo Nite’s “Before You Liked EDM You Liked Emo” hoodie in a live stream in 2020.
During Freed and Petracca’s first experience at EDC Las Vegas, they happened to meet Rotella after an Emo Nite performance, and the relationship was born.
