6 Unique Experiences To Check Out At Outside Lands In San Francisco

The San Francisco and Bay Area community is a unique one, to say the least, and Outside Lands truly represents its quirkiness in every facet.

Those local to the area, as well as those traveling to Outside Lands for what may be their first time, have much to look forward to at this year’s festival.

Celebrating its 15th year, attendees will not only experience multi-genre greats such as ODESZA, Foo Fighters, Lana Del Ray, BLOND:ISH, and many more, but they will also have the opportunity to savor some of the Bay Area’s finest in food, beer, wine, art and more with a lineup of local favorites!

Check out some of the festival’s many dedicated experiences below:

1. Grass Lands

The first of its kind in a major American music festival, Grass Lands is a 21+ experience of all things cannabis, presented by Weedmaps.

Inside the Grass Lands area, festival goers will be able to explore different innovations and products of over 20 premium cannabis purveyors, as well as experience live DJ sets at the Grass Lands Stage.

Worth noting is the featuring of many local and social equity brands, empowering and amplifying the voices of Black, Brown, and socially equitable cannabis pioneers.

2. Taste of the Bay Area

Any true San Franciscan knows the pride we have in our city’s culinary offerings and Outside Lands is no exception when it comes to curating the best of the food scene.

The “Taste of the Bay Area” experience is where attendees can indulge in mouthwatering dishes from the region’s top restaurants.

From iconic street food to gourmet delicacies, the festival’s food offerings are top-tier and represent the diverse and eclectic community of the Bay Area.

3. Wine Lands

California Wine is a big deal and those that consider themselves enthusiasts will find their home for the weekend at Wine Lands.

Featuring many wines from Napa Valley and beyond, Wine Lands offers quite a selection of wines for attendees to enjoy while they see their favorite artists or continue exploring all the unique corners of Outside Lands.

4. Cocktail Magic

For craft cocktails and mocktails, head over to Cocktail Magic, where attendees will be able to select from a handful of interactive cocktail bars.

Even some with magical food pairings to go with them. Enjoy an array of entertainment, such as magic shows and more while the mixologists mix your concoction of choice.

5. Dolores’: Celebrating Queer and Trans Culture

A brand new addition to this year’s festival grounds is Dolores’ where the celebration of queer and trans communities and spaces that shape San Francisco’s nightlife and culture will be celebrated.

Dolores’ will pay homage to the history of queer parties and performances in the city and across the nation. With a lineup of local artists, DJs, and drag performances, it’s sure to be a lively time.

6. Brand Experiences

But wait there’s more! Alongside the music, food, and cannabis experiences, there’s also quite the selection of Brand activations.

With sustainability initiatives, art installations, and other interactive experiences, many of these activations go above and beyond traditional sponsorships.

Festival attendees have an opportunity to get up close and personal with global brands, whether it’s sampling exclusive products or gaining access to members-only lounges.

Outside Lands will take place August 11-13 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Click here to purchase tickets.
