Apple’s New iPhone 15 Will Make It Easier To Find Your Friends At Festivals

While there may be no better feeling than being truly lost in the music, at large concerts and festivals, you can also get lost in the crowd.

Thankfully, Apple‘s new iPhone 15 will feature an improved second-generation Ultra Wideband chip that supports precision locations on the Find My app, making it easier to find your friends in large crowds.

During the official iPhone 15 unveiling yesterday, Apple announced that this new chip will expand on the previous Ultra Wideband capabilities that users have enlisted to find car keys, tv remotes, and other human beings.

Now, the iPhone 15 will be able to connect with other devices that house the same chip at distances up to three times farther away. Thanks to the improved connectivity of the new chip, users can be guided directly to lost items and lost friends with clear directions and distance markers.

Other communication improvements include enhanced audio quality that prioritizes the sounds of your voice, making it much easier to hear phone calls over background noise.

The new iPhone also supports satellite calls via Emergency SOS and can connect you with roadside assistance providers with a simple text.

This feature is currently available in 14 countries and will expand to Spain and Switzerland this month.

Apple’s iPhone 15 will hit store shelves on September 22. Pre-orders will be available this Friday, September 15 at 5AM PT.
