James Hype And MEDUZA Announce No Phones Policy And A Three-Hour B2B At ADE

Chart-topping artists James Hype and MEDUZA have added a special twist to their “Our House” show coming to the historic Hembrugterrein for Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE).

For the first time, they will introduce a no-phone policy at the event and give fans an extra special three-hour back-to-back performance.

The British and Italian producers “want to bring back the original party feeling” and “encourage people to enjoy themselves with no distractions.”

The strict no-phones policy comes directly from the artists themselves, who say they’ve seen countless dancefloors swallowed by a sea of cellphones.

“Everything started with a passion for music and live events and we want to bring us back to that principle,” James Hype and MEDUZA said in a collective statement. “We intend for the dance floor to become a place to enjoy music and meet new people without any outside distractions, allowing us to truly go back to our love for this industry.”

Underground institutions like Berghain have long served as a model for prohibiting cameras and fully immersing patrons in the music.

A year removed from the pair’s first performance together at last year’s ADE, the “Our House” show concept is staking its claim as a leading party brand in house music, building upon previous performances that include a weekly residency at Hï Ibiza and two NYC yacht parties.

Tickets for James Hype and MEDUZA’s “Our House” Amsterdam on Friday, October 20 are now available here.
