Last month, Philadelphia’s Making Time festival brought some of the world’s best underground electronic artists to the historic Fort Mifflin, a Revolutionary War fort on the banks of the Delaware River.
Unfortunately, on the weekend of the festival, heavy rain and coastal flooding from Tropical Storm Ophelia also paid Fort Mifflin a visit, causing severe damage to the site.
But now, Making Time is doing right by their hosts in the aftermath, with Transcendental Terranova: a show to raise funds for the repair of Fort Mifflin’s grounds.
A statement from Making Time alongside the event announcement reads:
“Fort Mifflin is a small, underfunded non-profit organization and has very little support from the city. Fort Mifflin cannot afford the costs to repair and remediate the grounds, so….WE’RE GOING TO DO IT FOR THEM, WITH YOUR HELP !!!”
Co-hosted by cult-favorite NYC radio station The Lot Radio, Transcendental Terranova will take place at Good Room in Brooklyn, New York on Thursday, October 5, and will feature performances from a collection of artists who performed at Making Time.
Those who have lent their talents for the greater good include indie producer and Fred again.. collaborator HAAi, Philadelphia techno pioneer Josh Wink, The Lot Radio resident DJ Rose Kourts, DIY artist JEWELSSEA, and even a collaborative performance from JDH and Making Time founder Dave P.
Those who missed the aforementioned artists at Making Time festival—which also featured sets from Overmono, DJ Tennis, Jamie xx, Sama’ Abdulhadi, and more—or those who simply want to show their support, can grab $20 tickets to Transcendental Terranova here.
All proceeds will go to Fort Mifflin, so that fans “can continue to transcend there once again at Making Time in 2024.” For those who can’t make it out, an additional donation-only link is available here.
