Amsterdam Music Festival Partners With Pixmob To Light Up The Crowd Using LED Wristbands

Today, Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF), a part the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) programming, has announced an exciting partnership with PixMob, the world’s leading wireless lighting company, to include fans as an element of AMF’s production.

The new partnership is set to light up the AMF like never before, using Pixmob’s wireless LED wristbands, which have been previously featured in high-profile entertainment events like the Super Bowl as well as concerts from major artists like Coldplay and The Weeknd.

When AMF kicks off at the Johan Cruijff Arena on Saturday, October 21, Pixmob’s LED wristbands will be distributed to the event’s tens of thousands of attendees, making them an “integral part of the show experience” as the bands synchronize with the music onstage.

“Technologies like this allow us to go the extra mile in our production and set AMF apart from other events,” said Allan Hardenberg, co-founder and CEO of ALDA, the production company behind AMF. “We’re beyond excited to see that sea of lights light up the arena. We feel like we might be at the forefront of a redefining moment in the festival scene.”

Pixmob Europe’s Managing Director Ysabel Vangrudenberg added that the “easy to program, eco-friendly LED wristbands are the perfect gateway towards electrifying the night and connecting fans with their favorite DJs,” which include the likes of Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Charlotte de Witte and more for 2023.

Placing importance on the use of Pixmob’s technology as a “testament to their vision,” AMF and Pixmob have also appointed internationally acclaimed creative director Timor Steffens as the show director for AMF 2023. Steffens brings an impressive body of work to AMF, having previously collaborated with stars like Madonna and Michael Jackson.

Tickets for Amsterdam Music Festival 2023 are on sale here. Only the final price tier remains, starting at €109 plus fees.
