The First Party For Seth Troxler’s New Label, Slacker 85, Coming To Chicago Next Month

Earlier this summer, modern-day Detroit legend Seth Troxler announced the launch of his new label Slacker 85. Now the accomplished house and techno artist is officially getting the party started with the imprint’s very first event, Slacker Chicago.

Slacker Chicago will take place at the city’s “top rated hybrid venue,” PRYSM on Friday, November 3, as part of their acclaimed SERUM series.

Naturally, Troxler has invited his close friends—who are of course also world-renowned DJs—to join him in support, including acclaimed selector and Numbers founder Jackmaster, leftfield Chicago house connoisseur Très Mortimer, warehouse techno champ Hiroko Yamamura, and elusive Berlin-by-way-of-NYC spinner Bill Patrick.

Sharing the announcement on Instagram Troxler said, “The playground is open and you’re all invited,” while assuring fans that “It’s going to get weird.”

The very first Slacker 85 release, Troxler’s own acid-infused single “Pills” is out now, and fans will be eager to get a sneak peek of what’s next at the first of many Slacker parties to come.

Pre-sale access for Slacker Chicago will begin Friday, October 6 at 10AM CT. General on-sale will start on Monday, October 9 at 10AM CT. Pre-sale registration is now open here.
