Delta Air Lines Will Operate Direct Flights From Atlanta To Tulum In 2024

It will now be easier for American travelers to get to Tulum, Mexico—a notably popular spot for destination festivals like Day Zero and Zamna—as Delta Air Lines has announced a new direct flight to the region launching next year.

Delta announced that nonstop service from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to Tulum will begin on March 28, 2024.

The direct flight will reach its destination at Felipe Carillo International Airport (TQO). Though it hasn’t opened just yet, TQO is scheduled to begin operations in December 2023 and Delta has already begun selling tickets for the route.

In a statement alongside the announcement, Delta’s SVP of Network Planning, Joe Esposito said, “We know Tulum-bound customers will enjoy the elevated experience Delta consistently offers–and now without a two-hour drive from Cancun–as we grow our footprint in Mexico and throughout the Yucatan region.”

Delta already flies to more than 100 U.S. cities from Atlanta, allowing for easy one-stop connections to Tulum.

The new Tulum route will make use of a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, allowing Delta to accommodate up to 160 passengers year-round. The Tulum flights will offer first class, Delta Comfort+, and main cabin fare options.
