Armin van Buuren Drops “A State of Trance Year Mix 2023,” Marking 20 Years Of Trance Tradition

Armin van Buuren has unleashed “A State of Trance Year Mix 2023,” the 20th installment of his annual “Year Mix” series with Armada Music.

A diverse, innovative, and yet “legacy-upholding” collection of 111 tracks, this year’s mix is here to tell the world that looking ahead to the future of music doesn’t mean looking down at the past.

The anniversary mix features productions from a collection of newcomers and trance legends, including van Buuren himself, AVIRA, Bryan Kearny, Chicane, Ferry Corsten, Gareth Emery, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Miss Monique, Ruben de Ronde and many more.

“I can’t believe I’ve been doing these mixes for twenty years already,” van Buuren said in a press release. “I’ve seen trance music shedding its skin countless times over the past two decades, but its beating heart has always been–and will remain–a constant. The old and the new can exist together in perfect harmony, and I hope this mix album, the culmination of a remarkable year, shows that!”

With this latest “Year Mix,” Armin van Buuren continues his global ambassadorship for electronic music, in which he has built a repertoire that includes eight full-length studio albums, a worldwide following through his weekly A State of Trance radio show, and an acclaimed event series that will host its first festival in its new home of Rotterdam next year.
