Tomorrowland Shares Sneak Peak Of New Immersive Exhibit, “The Great Library of Tomorrow”

Last Friday, Tomorrowland’s new immersive experience, “The Great Library of Tomorrow,” officially opened its doors in Barcelona, Spain. The exhibit offered fans “a one-hour journey through the magical universe of one of the world’s most iconic festivals.”

The all-ages, VR, and audiovisual exhibit will be occupying over 1,000 square meters (10,000 square feet) at Aribau Immersive Space through March 2024.

Designed by Tomorrowland and Xtended Reality Music Hub,—the same people behind immersive exhibits like Dalí Cybernetics and Gustav Klimt: The Immersive Experience—The Great Library of Tomorrow features eight different rooms that house a variety of digital art installations, key festival objects, and interactive experiences.

The experience begins with a brief Tomorrowland history lesson, covering two decades of the festival before attendees head to the exhibit’s “Four Elements” room. There they will see a visualization of Tomorrowland’s most important values: Unity, Love, Madness, and Magic.

Next up, the exhibit’s “Connection between Cultures” installation will illustrate “infinite connection between cultures and nature.” Then guests can interact with an AI activation titled, “The People of Tomorrow,” which blends the faces of visitors to create a composite image that represents “the face” of Tomorrowland’s community.

After that, guests will be guided to Tomorrowland’s “Paperworld,” a “visual masterpiece” connecting the real and fictional worlds. Finally, visitors will gain access to the Great Library of Tomorrow VR experience, a magical library where all the Tomorrowland tales throughout the years are held, including the festival’s many themes and origin stories.

At the conclusion of the experience, guests can check out plenty of Tomorrowland merchandise in an on-site gift shop and even sip on a bottle of Tomorrowland’s official sparkling wine in the Solo Vida Lounge.
