Slander & Riot Release Electrifying New Single “High Voltage”

ROBOTO

Get ready to ring in the New Year with Slander and Riot’s sophomore electrifying new single, “High Voltage.”

With a vocal from JT Foley, “High Voltage” will become a staple in future Slander and Riot live performances. Slander and Riot previously released “You Don’t Even Know Me” together five years ago, which proved to be a great success and an introduction to their future together as collaborators.

With lyrics highlighting a high-energy connection between two people (symbolized by lightning) and dubstep drops meant to be heard on total volume, “High Voltage” comes just in time for the New Year’s Eve run, Slander is preparing for.

Hailing from Los Angeles, Slander, real names Derek Anderson and Scott Land, have been a duo taking the electronic music scene by storm for over a decade. Slander comes from their names: S(cost), Land, and Ander(sen).

The duo is known for making melodic bass, dubstep, and even some trap music, with many chart-topping iconic melodic bass anthems, such as “First Time” and “Love Is Gone.”

“High Voltage” has Slander’s signature sound, with a heavier bass line, drums, and heavy synths brought in by Riot. Riot is also a duo from Israel (now based in Los Angeles) consisting of Tom Davidson and Daniel Magid. With the success of their first collaboration with Slander and support from Knife Party, Kayzo, and more, Riot has continued to produce dubstep bangers.

Slander is about to head off on a New Year’s Eve set of shows: The Midway in San Francisco, Nova in San Diego, and Decadence in Arizona.
