Slovenian producer and DJ, UMEK, has teamed up with Atlanta-born, techno producer Sam WOLFE to unleash heavy-hitting “Robocop” to the masses out on UMEK’s label, 1605.
An ode to the 1987 film Robocop, this track is a dark, acid-techno anthem that puts the listener in the center of a “robocop’s” world, a machine being controlled by flashing lights and techno beats.
Real name Uroš Umek, UMEK has made a name for himself worldwide pushing the boundaries of techno, even creating his own record label in 2008 to help other producers do the same.
Meant to be played in an underground warehouse, “Robocop” consists of high BPMs and a storyline told from the perspective of a machine.
Listeners are meant to let loose and lose themselves to the beat, almost to a machine-like quality where they shouldn’t stop because the beats sound too good.
“Robocop” is a follow-up to Umek and Wolfe’s wildly successful release of “Enter The Rave” released just this past November.
UMEK’s legendary knowledge of techno combines perfectly with WOLFE’s fresh new outlook and passion for hard and deep techno.
