London’s legendary nightclub, fabric, is going global for its 25th anniversary this year.
Last week, the dance music institution unveiled fabric25, a string of celebratory plans that includes unique in-house programming, an anniversary release series on its labels, and a world tour that will take the historic club beyond London city limits for the first time.
Before fabric’s official birthday arrives in October, the esteemed nightclub will host a year-long run of special events, collaborations, and club nights at celebrated venues and festivals across the globe.
The fabric25 world tour will travel across Europe, South America and the U.S., with notable phase one stops planned for Guesthouse Bucharest, Sub Club Glasgow, Tresor Berlin, Soundgarden Quito, FUSE Brussels and Miami’s Club Space.
Organizers have announced that the tour will “showcase the club’s influence on the global electronic music landscape and its ability to unite music lovers worldwide,” while hosting performances from “internationally renowned acts that have at one time found a home at fabric.”
On the homefront, fabric’s anniversary programming in London will feature sets from dance music icons like Craig Richards, Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler, Damian Lazarus, Zed Bias and many more, culminating in a three-day “fabric Birthday” party set for October 11-13, 2024.
The nightclub will also release a collection of exclusive mixes and compilations under its “fabric presents” collection, a Past & Future EP series in which cornerstone fabric acts will collaborate with rising stars, and a series of fabric25 singles that will be shared on fabric Originals.
In July, fabric invited the club-going public to contribute to a special 25th anniversary book, slated for publication later this year.
