It’s time to start your engines and get revved up for spring, as today, organizers revealed the 2024 lineup for the Indy 500 Snake Pit.
While 33 drivers will be racing around the track for the 108th running of the Indianapolis 500, five top-tier DJs will be throwing down on the infield for close to 30,000 music fans when the event returns on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
North American dubstep icon Excision is set to headline the stage at turn three of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s 2.5-mile track, bringing plenty of breakneck bass for headbangers and motorheads alike.
The Indy 500 Snake Pit will also welcome standout performances from fan-favorite Australian house producer Dom Dolla, LA-based melodic artist Gryffin, heavy metal dubstep DJ Sullivan King, and the always electrifying big room brass sounds of Timmy Trumpet.
While the Snake Pit is certainly not the ideal place to catch actual race action, a history of booking some of the world’s best electronic acts has built its reputation as the ultimate Sunday Fun-day for those looking to add some extra adrenaline to their race-day festivities.
Snake Pit attendees accounted for 11 percent of the Indy 500’s 330,000 spectators in 2023, helping to bolster a continued pattern of rising attendance for the American racing spectacle over the last decade, according to Forbes. With today’s lineup announcement, it’s sure to be another full-throttle party in 2024.
All Snake Pit ticketholders must also hold a valid Indy 500 general admission or reserved seat ticket for entry. Ticket packages that include both race and concert admission are now available here.
