Red-hot trap artists and best buds ISOxo and Knock2 are taking their ISOKNOCK back-to-back on the road this spring.
Following the collaborative project’s debut at Coachella in April, ISOxo and Knock2’s four-date ISOKNOCK tour will kick off at Seattle’s Wamu Theater on May 4, 2024. Two weeks later, they’ll travel to Brooklyn for a unique show under the K Bridge on May 16 ahead of two more to-be-announced gigs.
Before they were household names in EDM, ISOxo and Knock2–AKA Julian Isorena and Richard Nakhonethap–first met at the San Diego County Fair in 2015, as they were each booked to DJ on the same stage. The pair became fast friends, spending time working on music together in their bedrooms and garages and even throwing their own shows.
“At the time, it felt so rare because we were so young and new to the scene,” Knock2 wrote on Instagram, announcing a new mini-documentary that covers their friendship in music. “We instantly became friends. From that moment we stuck by each other every step of the way.”
Their earlier productions would soon garner support from huge trap and bass house figures like Cheyenne Giles, Henry Fong, RL Grime and even Skrillex. United as always, ISOxo and Knock2 signed to RL Grime’s Sable Valley imprint in 2019.
They’ve since set off on a tear, dishing out solo hits on a variety of labels–like Knock2’s “dashstar*” and ISOxo’s “REDloop”–in addition to collaborative works like their niteharts remix project. Both artists have shifted to releasing longer works in the last year, with Knock2’s groundbreaking ROOM202 EP and ISOxo’s debut album kidsgonemad! arriving in 2023.
With worldwide fandom for their music and their story of friendship at an all-time high, Knock2 and ISOxo are poised for an even bigger 2024. Knock2’s debut album, nolimit, is slated for release this year. ISOKNOCK will make its first festival headline appearance at North Coast this September, and the duo has teased more collaborative music to come.
