Sammy Virji has just announced a one-night-only show at Tennessee’s famous subterranean venue, The Caverns, this summer.
The UK garage and bassline artist will deliver a headline set inside the multi-stage venue’s hallmark cave in Grundy County—near Pelham, Tennessee—on Friday, July 19, 2024. Support performances will be announced at a later date.
After breaking through with his official remix of Aluna’s “Body Pump” in 2020, Virji’s rapid ascent to international dance music acclaim has been harbingered by his trademark groove-laden productions, including “Find My Way Home,” “Shella Verse” with Flowdan, and “If U Need It,” among other high-energy tracks.
Virji’s viral set for DJ Mag last August spurred international booking interest in droves, and the Oxford, UK-based DJ and producer has since embarked on a string of global tours in New Zealand & Australia, Japan, and most recently, North America.
Virji’s anticipatedly huge festival run this summer and fall will include appearances at Four Tet’s curated NYC weekender next month, Belfast’s AVA Festival, Parklife, Hideout, Electric Forest, Creamfields, and ARC, among others. He’s also slated for a debut in Austin, Texas, the day following the Caverns gig.
Virji’s first release of 2024 came in February in the form of an official remix for fellow UK up-and-comer Hamdi’s viral track, “Counting.”
Just yesterday, Virji confirmed that his anticipated collaboration with Chris Lake and vocalist Nathan Nicholson, “Summertime Blues,” will arrive this Friday, April 26 on Lake’s own Black Book Records.
Virji debuted the track during his set at Sound LA in February and it’s since become a fan-favorite ID, with Lake also notably playing it out during his set at Skyline LA. Fans can pre-save “Summertime Blues” here.
Pre-sale registration for Sammy Virji at The Caverns is now available here. Pre-sale access will begin tomorrow, Thursday, April 25 at 10AM CT. General on-sale will follow on Friday, April 26 at 10AM CT. All tickets will be available for purchase at thecaverns.com.
