Tomorrowland Extends Brussels Airlines Partnership With New Plane Design

Tomorrowland has extended its partnership with Brussels Airlines, the festival giant’s longtime collaborator on themed party flights that carry Tomorrowland attendees to and from Belgium each year—often with live onboard DJ sets.

Under the revamped partnership, Belgium’s largest commercial air carrier is welcoming a new airplane to its fleet: a specially designed Airbus A320neo painted in the style of Tomorrowland’s famous golden eagle, Amare.

Designed to represent “unity for people all over the world,” “Amare” will not only continue Brussels Airlines’ tradition of bringing festivalgoers to Tomorrowland, but it will also operate commercial flights starting tomorrow, April 26.

Amare is the first aircraft to feature augmented reality capabilities on its livery. When scanned with specific social media apps like Instagram and TikTok, the plane’s “mythical bird” design comes to life on screen, offering fans a chance to explore Amare’s story in the Tomorrowland universe.

In addition to the high-tech livery design, which took 15 months to produce, the aircraft also features a specially fitted sound system and mood lighting in the cabin. Check out additional photos of the plane here.

Last year’s aeronautical iteration of Amare carried over 10,000 attendees to the festival on 125 flights from 57 airports worldwide. As part of Tomorrowland’s Global Journey travel packages—offering transportation, on-site accommodations, and festival tickets—another roughly 14,500 festivalgoers will travel on the new aircraft this year on 165 different flights.

With demand for these unique travel experiences rising, Tomorrowland and Brussels Airlines are also committed to reducing their environmental footprint. The new Amare aircraft is Brussels Airlines’ second new A320neo, a plane that emits up to 20 percent less CO2 and up to 50 percent less noise than its predecessors.

Moving forward, all Global Journey Packages will be Green Fares, which offset flight emissions by using Sustainable Aviation Fuel and making additional investments in qualitative CO2-reducing programs.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Tomorrowland Belgium will return to De Schorre Park in Boom, Belgium from July 19-21 and July 26-28, 2024. This year’s lineup features over 400 artists performing across 16 stages.
