Techno stalwarts Indira Paganotto and Joseph Capriati have released their new Mantra EP, a collaborative effort out now on Paganotto’s ARTCORE Records.
The two-tracker arrives today as the fifth release on ARTCORE this year, and the label’s 11th since its launch in 2022, following Paganotto’s solo EP, Gipsy Queen, which was released in April.
“Honestly, I am humbled by the trust and support I have received from Joseph Capriati throughout the years,” Paganotto said of the partnership in an interview with DJ Mag. “I have so much gratitude towards him. This really feels like a family project and I couldn’t be prouder to be joining forces again.”
A collaborative triumph in the truest sense, Mantra blends Paganotto and Capriati’s distinct musical styles, opening with “Ananda,” a high-octane techno groove that fuses the Italian producer’s pounding kick drums and heavy synth leads with orchestral vocal chops from the Spanish “psymama.”
Next, the title track, “Mantra,” delves deeper into Paganotto’s psytrance-infused techno sound, traversing a range of musical styles with driving techno kicks, trippy vocal chops, and a unique sitar interlude.
Paganotto will continue her inaugural 10-date ARTCORE world tour with a performance in Barcelona tonight, ahead of stops in Istanbul, Madrid, London, New York, Rome, and Amsterdam later this summer.
She’ll also continue to link up with Capriati at Amnesia Ibiza throughout his returning Metamorfosi residency, which takes over the White Isle institution every Friday from July 19 to September 6.
