Exodus Era, a new DJ-production duo “sent from the future,” have shared their debut single, “Your Gravity.”
The track, best described as a melodic bass house, arrived last week via Create Music Group, marking the mysterious group’s first release since they crash-landed on the beaches of Santa Monica, California, earlier this year.
After opening with space-age synth builds and captivating original vocals, bold and dynamic musical arrangements take center stage on “Your Gravity,” uniquely merging euphoric melodic bass sound design and proper banging bass house arrangement.
Packed with feeling, the track details the emotional push and pull of breaking free from a toxic relationship, struggling to “depart from the patterns” and grappling to “escape your gravity.”
Much of Exodus Era’s musical operation is classified. But the pair tells EDM Maniac that they’ve been sent back in time from the year 3000 on a mission to retrieve lost audio from the past.
Even more intriguing—they’ve brought an arsenal of over 20 unreleased songs with them, spanning a myriad of styles from volatile bass and otherworldly IDM, to seductive melodies to subdued lofi, plus some good-old-fashioned dubstep, drum & bass and house.
The group shares that they will be releasing tracks from the vault for public review every month for an indefinite period and each track features 100 percent original sound design and forgoes any use of sampling, all rarities in our present electronic music timeline.
Now that Exodus Era has confirmed the successful fusion of Melodic Bass with House Music on “Your Gravity,” dance music fans can support the E.X.O.D.U.S. Corporation in their research endeavors by streaming the track below.
