RÜFÜS DU SOL Set Release For Awaited Single, “Music Is Better”

RÜFÜS DU SOL

RÜFÜS DU SOL have just announced that their new single, “Music is Better,” will arrive this Friday, June 21, 2024.

After a long wait for new tunes, the track will mark the Australian electronic band’s first original music release since their fourth studio LP, Surrender, arrived in 2021, featuring colossal hits like the Grammy-nominated “On My Knees,” and Grammy-winning “Alive.”

Following the conclusion of their U.S. Surrender Tour shows last summer, and a final send-off for the album tour in Australia in January, RÜFÜS DU SOL have marked their entry into a new musical era in recent weeks, sharing several new music teasers and studio footage on social media, and igniting a fan frenzy with Instagram captions like, “Been working” and “We cooking.”

As such, “Music is Better,” is expected to be the first in a flurry of new releases from RÜFÜS DU SOL in the coming months, with many fans hoping that an album will soon follow.

The famed “Innerbloom” producers are ramping things up on the live performance front as well. After playing a four-hour extended DJ set on Coachella’s new Quasar stage in April, RÜFÜS DU SOL touched down at Lightning in a Bottle for another surprise DJ set last month.

Better yet, they’ve hinted at even more surprise sets to come in between their ongoing Las Vegas residency performances at Wynn Nightlife’s XS Nightclub, and will make a milestone return to San Francisco at the upcoming edition of Portola in September, playing in the city for the first time in two years.
